Catherine Watters
Catherine Watters was born and raised in Paris, where her love of art began. She is a primary instructor and curriculum developer for the Filoli Botanical Art Certificate Program in Woodside, CA. Watters' paintings are included in several permanent collections: Filoli Florilegium, Brooklyn Botanic Garden Florilegium, Garden Club of America headquarters, New York, and Museum of Natural History, Paris. Her watercolors on paper and vellum illustrate five books, three published in the U.S. and two in France. She shows her paintings in several juried exhibitions each year, most recently at Filoli, the Horticultural Society of New York, Oakland Museum, San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum, Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis and Denver Botanic Garden. She served on the ASBA Board of Directors from 2000 to 2006.
