Brooklyn Botanic Garden 2003 Annual Report

Gifts to the Garden from January 1 to December 31, 2003

The Gager Society

We are honored by the significant annual support of the individuals in our Gager Society. Named for our visionary founding Director, Dr. Charles Stuart Gager, this group of BBG friends are recognized for their aggregate yearly contributions to BBG's annual and membership campaigns. Donations to capital campaigns, special events and the Gala are not included in Gager Society totals. Gager Society individuals are noted by an asterisk (*).

FORSYTHIA SOCIETY

BBG salutes those who have made an especially meaningful contribution to the future of the Garden by including the Garden in their estate plans. Named after the official flower of Brooklyn, the forsythia carries the symbolic message of brotherhood, unity, and understanding; it thus provides an appropriate symbol for the impact that planned gifts can have.

BEQUESTS

TRIBUTES AND DEDICATIONS

Memorial and honorary gifts are made year-round in tribute to friends and loved ones, and are used to ensure that the Garden remains a place of beauty and tranquillity for future generations. Our Tributes and Dedications Program provides opportunities for dedicating features such as display gardens, trees, benches, pergolas, and pillars for climbing roses. Gifts are also made to provide scholarships for children registered in our Children's Garden program.
