Brooklyn Botanic Garden 2005 Annual Report

Gifts to the Garden from January 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005

Individuals

We gratefully acknowledge the many friends whose generosity helped the Garden to grow and flourish this year. This listing primarily recognizes support for BBG's annual operating needs. These contributions have served as cornerstones for BBG's educational, scientific research, and horticultural programs.

The Gager Society, named for our visionary founding director, Dr. Charles Stuart Gager, comprises individuals who make significant membership gifts to support the ongoing work of the Garden. Gager Society Members are indicated by *.

If you would like to bring any inaccuracies to our attention, please call our director of Individual Giving at 718-623-7207. Many thanks to the thousands of friends who made membership and annual fund contributions of less than $500.

FORSYTHIA SOCIETY

BBG salutes those who have made an especially meaningful contribution to the future of the Garden by including BBG in their estate plans. Named after the official flower of Brooklyn, the forsythia carries the symbolic meanings of brotherhood, unity, and understanding; it thus is an appropriate symbol of the great impact that planned gifts have.

Bequests

Tributes and Dedications

Memorial and honorary gifts are made year-round in tribute to friends and loved ones, and are used to ensure that the Garden remains a place of beauty and tranquillity for future generations. Our Tributes and Dedications Program provides opportunities for dedicating features such as display gardens, trees, benches, pergolas, and pillars for climbing roses. Gifts are also made to provide scholarships for children registered in our Children's Garden program.
