Welcome the Change of Seasons at Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Change in Seasonal Hours & Admissions Begins in Early March
Free Tours Highlight the Beauty of the Season

Brooklyn, New York—February 24, 2009—Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) is embracing its dazzling early-spring grandeur! Visitors can enjoy the season's highlights throughout the Garden's 52 acres. BBG's intimate "gardens within the Garden" showcase many of the resplendent Plant Collections that punctuate the living museum. This season—during expanded seasonal hours—visitors experience elegant magnolias, glorious daffodils, the borough of Brooklyn's own cheerful forsythia, breathtaking ornamental flowering cherries, delicate crabapples, and more. Free Seasonal Highlights Tours led by trained Garden Guides (Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m.) enhance a walk through the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, the Native Flora Garden, and the Rock Garden—all aglow with the beauty of the season of renewal. Following the winter season of free weekday admission, BBG resumes collecting weekday admission fees on Tuesday, March 3. Expanded hours of visitation (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) go into effect on Sunday, March 8.
