Discovery Garden
The Discovery Garden offers year-round workshops for families, free with garden admission. Children and their caregivers learn about the natural world through fun activities, plantings, and open-ended exploration. These workshops are on a drop-in basis—join us at any point during the afternoon for a quick nature fix! Workshops are appropriate for a broad range of ages. Children must be supervised by an adult. December: Celebrate Winter Trees!
Join us to journey through the giant green world of winter evergreens! We'll check out incredible cones, make evergreen crafts, and explore the many wonders of trees in winter. Warm up and celebrate this special time of year with a range of nature-based children's activities for the chilly season.

February Break Discovery Week
Spending your February break at home? Explore the world's deserts and rainforests with your family right here at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. We'll be investigating plants from around the world with hands-on activities indoors and then sending you off to discover the Steinhardt Conservatory on a scavenger hunt!

Spring Break Discovery Week
The Garden is waking up! Bring your family during the spring school break to catch this magical time of year. Come enjoy nature-based activities to celebrate spring's arrival and discover the signs of change unfolding all around us!

Earth Day Celebration
Join us after school for a very special celebration at the Garden. We'll commemorate the occasion with an earth-friendly nature craft by potting up a plant to take home.
