Self-guided Visits for Children's Groups
School, camp and other children's groups are required to preregister to visit the Garden for self-directed explorations of the Garden grounds and the Steinhardt Conservatory during BBG's hours of operation. Admission for children's groups is free. You must register at least two weeks in advance of the date of your visit. Be sure to plan ahead to get the widest selection of available dates. Pre-registered classes will immediately receive an admission pass for entry to the Garden grounds and Conservatory, entry directions, and group guidelines.
Guidelines and Visitor Information for Children's Groups
A Botanic Garden is not a park, but a living collection of plants for study and aesthetic enjoyment. Whether participating in a guided program or bringing a children's group for a self-guided visit, teachers or adult leaders are responsible for their students and must observe all Garden regulations. You may view the BBG Guidelines for Children's Groups, which also contains information to help you plan your group's visit.
Activity Guide for Children's Groups at BBG
You may download an activity guide that will help make your visit to BBG fun as well as educational.
