The C.V. Starr Bonsai Museum
Here the Garden's world-famous bonsai collection -- the oldest and largest collection of dwarfed, potted trees in the country -- is displayed in an oriental setting. The collection was begun in 1925 with a gift of just 32 trees. Today, hardy as well as tropical indoor bonsai are trained in classic styles, including windswept, slanted trunk, rock clinging, and forest.
