January In Bloom

January is the time of year to appreciate subtle variations of color in bark and evergreen foliage throughout Brooklyn Botanic Garden, but especially among the conifers in the Plant Family Collection. In the Robert W. Wilson Aquatic House, spectacular orchids are in peak bloom. Many other exotic plants, such as cannas and lachenalias, are also flowering in the Steinhardt Conservatory.
