March In Bloom

The Steinhardt Conservatory is the place to visit in early March. There you'll see a magical procession of South African bulbs—among them lachenalias, moraeas, and clivias—in the Helen Mattin Warm Temperate Pavilion. Orchids continue to bloom in the Robert W. Wilson Aquatic House.

Also in March, witch-hazels light up the Plant Family Collection and Rock Garden with their spidery blooms. Narcissus, snowdrops, aconites, and hellebores blossom in the Rock Garden, announcing the arrival of spring. Masses of sunny yellow forsythias brighten the Plant Family Collection.
