Prunus 'Amanogawa'

This variety has a most distinctive growth habit. Pale pink, semi-double flowers—with a deeper pink margin on the petals—bloom in clusters mostly around the ends of branches, which themselves grow nearly straight up. Hence the name 'Amanogawa,' literally meaning "Milky Way," is immediately obvious.
