BBG's summer interpretive program highlights plants in the Garden that will thrill and entertain with their awesome abilities. Download and print the self-guided tour and information brochure or pick one up when you come to the Garden.

Garden experts give crucial advice, disclose fatal facts, and share close encounters with wicked plants. Listen on your own cell phone or download an mp3 to your player. The tour is free but uses your minutes.

Steinhardt Conservatory Gallery

Originally created to illustrate the book Wicked Plants, these hand-tinted botanical etchings evoke the potentially menacing—albeit often curative—aspects of plants.

Get to the roots of Wicked Plants with this collection of books and artifacts on the second floor of the Administration Building.


Garden Shop and Gift Shop

In the Garden Shop, pick up a copy of Amy Stewart's Wicked Plants: A Book of Botanical Atrocities. And—if you dare—select a wicked plant or two.
