Shedding a Dark Light on Suspicious Species

Shedding a Dark Light on Suspicious Species
Sunday, May 31, to Sunday, September 6, 2009
This summer, BBG goes to the dark side—of plant life, that is!
Visitors will come face to face with the potentially menacing powers of species that have the capacity to puncture, imprison, poison, and otherwise wreak havoc—as well as those that heal and salve.
Building on the fascinating plant portraits in author Amy Stewart's new Wicked Plants: The Weed That Killed Lincoln's Mother and Other Botanical Atrocities, BBG's summer interpretive program highlights plants in the Garden that will thrill and entertain with their awesome abilities.
