Chiara Becchi lives and works in Brookside, New Jersey, and spends summers in Tuscany and Piemonte, Italy. She received a degree in studio art in the United States and a certificate in industrial design in Milan. In 1993, she received a certificate in botanical illustration from the New York Botanical Garden. Chiara is a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators and of the American Society of Botanical Artists. She is also a fellow of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Florilegium Society. Her paintings are in many private collections in the United States and Europe, and she has had many solo and group exhibitions, including shows at Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Morristown, New Jersey; Arsenal Gallery in Central Park, New York; Nabisco Corporation; Johnson & Johnson; ASBA/Horticultural Society of New York; Native Plant Center, Valhalla, New York; and Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
