Kate Nessler has been painting plants for more than 24 years. Her chosen medium is watercolor, body color, and graphite on calfskin vellum. An internationally known artist, she has exhibited widely and won numerous awards, including three gold medals from the Royal Horticultural Society, England, and an Award of Excellence from the American Society of Botanical Artists. Her work is included in many permanent collections, including those of the Royal Horticultural Society, England; Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois; the Prince of Wales Charitable Foundation, England; and Brooklyn Botanic Garden Florilegium. Her work has appeared in many articles and publications, including Dr. Shirley Sherwood's A Passion for Plants and Contemporary Botanical Artist. She is represented by Jonathan Cooper Park Walk Gallery, in London, and Susan Frei Nathan Fine Works on Paper, in New Jersey.
