Already a celebrity in Europe, this new hybrid begonia attracting a lot of admirers in the U.S. as well. Developed in the Netherlands, the plant features variegated silver- and green-banded leaves that curl inward at the base to create a spiraling effect reminiscent of a snail shell. 'Escargot' is perfect for a shaded windowsill, conservatory, or summer patio. Grow it in moist, well-drained soil and indirect light. The minimum nighttime temperature should be 60°F.
