A Day in the Children’s Garden (Video)

If you've never participated in a Children's Garden class at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, you may not know the joy of biting into a tender kale leaf a moment after picking it; how to identify galinsoga, one of the most common weeds in Brooklyn; or the satisfaction of harvesting beans for dinner. Now's your chance to take a peek inside the picket fence! This short video offers a lyrical child’s-eye view of a handful of such moments one day last September.

My grandson Kyle has been attending the garden for several years. He will be going in the spring and spring break. He loves the Garden and has found a place where he is comfortable being a part of. Thank you for the wonderful work you are doing. HAPPY 100 YEARS,
    Helene & Kyle Salowitz
