Visitors enjoy the Terrace Café.
One more harbinger of spring: The Terrace Cafe is back outdoors. Chef Ariel Nadelberg has just rolled out her spring and summer menu, which features some new offerings, like duck sausage with fennel and watercress, as well as updates on old favorites, like kale and arugula salad with a new lime vinaigrette. Like BBG’s plant collections, the menu will demonstrate seasonality, says Nadelberg, who plans to offer an ever-changing array of specials as different fruits and vegetables come into season. She’ll also continue to use herbs and vegetables from BBG’s Herb Garden—look for rhubarb, summer squash, and greens this summer—as well as produce from nearby farms. Also featured are locally made products from the likes of Brooklyn Cured, Rick’s Picks, Gorilla Coffee, and Sixpoint Brewery. Enjoy it all al fresco soon.
