Introducing the New BBG.org

Welcome to Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s new website! For the past year, BBG’s web team has been hard at work creating a site that’s easy to use whether you’re on your phone, your tablet, or your computer. Please take a moment to explore.

What’s New?

  • Content optimized for mobile phones and other devices

Our website visitors use their phones and tablets more than ever before. The previous version of the site was built mainly for desktop computers, so for several years we offered a separate, mobile-only site that included some, but not all, of the content from the main site.

Now almost all of our content is available on and optimized for your devices. You can access the same information, articles, and photographs on your phone or tablet that you can on your desktop computer.

  • More beautiful photographs

There are stunning photographs from around the Garden throughout the site. Whether you want to know more about our Native Flora Garden or about different types of dragonflies, you can see beautiful, high-quality images.

Look for the magnifying glass on the upper right hand corner of some of the photographs—clicking on the glass will allow you to look at an even bigger version of the photograph.

  • Improved content for visitors and gardeners

We've added new content, such as the Fall Highlights suggested itinerary, to help you learn about new plants and areas of the Garden. Gardening Resources (previously the Gardening section of the site) will inspire you to cultivate your green thumb with its plethora of Gardening How-to articles. Other sections of the site have been streamlined and improved for ease of use.

We know this site looks different to our longtime website visitors, and we will continue to improve it day by day. Thank you so much for visiting, and we hope you come back often!
