Patch Volunteer Day
On July 24, 30 Patch employees worked side by side with BBG’s Horticulture staff in the Louisa Clark Spencer Lilac Collection. Over the course of one morning, the volunteers weeded and mulched the entire collection, important tasks in maintaining the health and beauty of the lilacs. Corporate volunteer days help BBG keep the Garden beautiful for more than 750,000 visitors per year and also offer excellent out-of-the-office team-building opportunities for businesses looking to engage employees in meaningful volunteer work at a beloved community institution.
Patch staff volunteered at the Garden through the company’s “Give 5” program, which encourages employees to serve in their local community five times a year. Since Patch was founded in 2009, more than 1,500 Patchers nationwide have volunteered thousands of hours at food banks, homeless shelters, senior centers, and countless other charitable organizations. Thank you, Patch volunteers!
