Brooklyn, NY—In winter when the days are short and chilly, it’s tempting to burrow under the covers and stay there, but Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) will tempt you out of dormancy with blues-banishing seasonal tours, workshops, and FREE weekday admission.

Garden tours of Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) are offered every Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m., and at 1 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month from November to March, licensed psychotherapist and veteran Garden guide Lynne Spevack leads a special Chase Away the Winter Blues tour. Each month’s tour features a special seasonal topic, including deciduous trees of winter, texture and sound in the Garden, and early-spring flowers. Come learn how and why organisms respond to the changing seasons, and how to use sunlight to keep the blues at bay through the frosty days ahead.
