Spring Gala
Funds from the Spring Gala support Brooklyn Botanic Garden's horticultural excellence, educational programming, and scientific research while ensuring that the Garden remains one of New York City's most precious green spaces.

At the 2009 Spring Gala, 400 guests enjoyed a cocktail reception around the Lily Pools, followed by dinner in the Palm House. BBG's Better Earth Award was presented to Dr. Peter H. Raven, one of the world's foremost advocates of conservation and biodiversity, and Independence Community Foundation, Brooklyn's Leading Foundation.
