Using Interactive Keys for Plant Identification
Dr. Gerry Moore, BBG Director of Science
Dr. Moore shares a new way to identify trees, starting with a brief talk and then taking the audience out onto the grounds of BBG for a demonstration.

Use special leaf replicas to stamp your favorite big tree on a card. All ages are welcome to participate.

Drop-in Family Programs
Children and their caregivers are invited to drop in on our workshop Tree-mendous Trees! at the Discovery Garden on Sunday, July 15 and Sunday, August 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. Explore the ins and outs of trees and learn how you can help the trees growing in your own neighborhood. Take a Class!
Through Trees New York, BBG offers Citizen Pruner Certification courses. Learn how to recognize trees and woody plants in the Woody Landscape Plant Identification class. See the Classes & Events catalog or visit bbg.org/edu/adult/ for more information.
Brooklyn Greenbridge
Brooklyn GreenBridge, BBG's community horticulture program, offers Street Tree Pit Gardening classes and street tree clinics. Call 718-623-7250 for more information.
Gardener's Resource Center
Visit the Gardener's Resource Center on the second floor of the Visitor Center for access to an extensive collection of books for all ages on trees and how to grow them at home.

Garden Shop
Stop by the Garden Shop and pick up a copy of The Tree Care Primer, an invaluable guide to planting and nurturing trees in your own garden. Another title from BBG, Gardening With Children, helps parents and children explore trees and other plants together.
