Trees: Myths, Monsters & Manipulations
The Photographic Work of Beth Lilly
Saturday, July 28–Sunday, September 9, 2007
Opening Artist Talk & Gallery Tour: Saturday, July 28, 2–4 p.m.
In conjunction with BBG's Big City, Big Trees event this summer, the Steinhardt Conservatory Gallery will host the work of Atlanta-based photographer Beth Lilly. The artist will exhibit groups of work in which she examines the beautiful resiliency of trees in one series and uses digital manipulation to showcase the natural patterns of trees in another. All of Lilly's photographs are printed in large scale on Thai mulberry and rag paper.
