"Wild" Flowers: The Botanical Whimsy of Peggy A. Guest
Missouri artist Peggy A. Guest brings her two- and three-dimensional pieces of "horticultural hysteria" for children to the Steinhardt Conservatory in honor of the 90th anniversary of the Children's Garden. Visitors of all ages will enjoy seeing dragons snap and frogs croak. They will also thrill to skydiving butterflies, raspberry-rustling raccoons, and Botany 101 a whisker off center. "These aren't your average stick-in-the-mud plants," says Guest. "They're characters dressed in flowered shirts." Don't miss the fun.
Meet the artist at the Harvest Fair on Sunday, September 12, 2004.
