Natural History at Brooklyn Botanic Garden
For three weeks in summer 2010, artist Patrick Dougherty and a team of volunteers constructed a monumental woven-wood sculpture in honor of Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s centennial. The result, which the artist titled Natural History, will be on display for the next year, complementing the beauty of the Garden through the seasons. Garden visitors will find the work in the Plant Family Collection near Magnolia Plaza.

Drop in for these free family nature workshops and watch the Discovery Garden come to life! Children become naturalists as they explore plant and animal life cycles and experience the springtime world through fun, hands-on activities, scavenger hunts, and story time!
Guided Tour
1 p.m.–2 p.m.
Free guided tours are offered Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m. Meet in front of the Visitor Center. (Group tours are available for a fee; call 718-623-7220 or visit the group tours page for information.)
