Saturday, June 21, 2014 | 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Smell is the most neglected of our senses, yet it has the power to instantly penetrate our consciousness, evoking memories and emotion and able to attract or repel. In this sensory workshop we will examine the science, history, and art of perfumery. Perfume ingredients and formulation will be explored, and participants leave with two bottles of their own bespoke perfume made with natural ingredients. No prior knowledge of perfume making is required. Students should bring a notebook to class; all other materials will be provided. Julianne Zaleta, instructor. Preregistration required.
$108 member; $114 nonmember (Fee includes a $60 materials charge.)
