Native Flora Garden at Brooklyn Botanic Garden (Video)

Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Native Flora Garden features ecosystems that evolved within 200 miles of New York City. There is deciduous woodland, a kettle pond, pine barrens, two different types of serpentine barrens, a wet and a dry meadow, and more. Many of the plants here were grown from seed collected nearby, which helps preserve the local ecotypes.

Gardener Will Lenihan introduces us to the garden and some of the unique and important plants grown here.
