A Fragrant Tour of the Trees of the Woodland Garden

Continuing Education Classes | Maker Classes

Saturday, October 4, 2025 | 12–3:30 p.m.
Waitlist Only

Autumn is the time of year for wood fragrances, recalling memories of crisp leaves, curls of wood smoke, and the bracing green of pine. The scent profile of woods ranges wildly across different trees. In this workshop, we'll explore the fragrance of the trees in BBG’s Woodland Garden and learn about their unique and complex ecosystem. Students will receive a sampling of scented millinery flowers and leaves to create their own nosegay and create a quarter-ounce vial of perfume to take home.
