Members’ Picnic Night Rules and FAQ
Please follow these Picnic Night rules to ensure that all members and guests enjoy the event.
- Picnicking is only permitted in designated areas of the Garden.
- Be respectful of those around you.
- Children must be supervised at all times and should keep a safe distance from performers and performance areas.
- Do not pick flowers or break branches from trees.
- Lawn chairs and sporting equipment (balls, Frisbees, scooters, etc.) are prohibited. An accessible seating area is available for those in need.
- Do not climb trees or rocks.
- Keep your shoes and shirts on (including children!).
- Smoking and vaping are not permitted.
- Don’t share commercial marketing or leaflets of any kind in the Garden.
- Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted in the Garden. Service animals are welcome.
Frequently Asked Questions
I just joined/renewed my membership and don’t have access to the ticketing page for Members’ Picnic Night yet. How can I reserve tickets?
You can show your confirmation email or temporary membership card at any entrance to gain entry into the Garden for Picnic Night. Please note that you must wait to receive your digital or physical guest passes in order to use them. If you would like to bring guests and do not have access to your guest passes yet, you can purchase up to four $10 guest tickets at the admissions window.
What are we allowed to bring into the Garden?
Picnic blankets and outside food and beverages, including alcohol, are allowed during Members’ Picnic Nights. For safety reasons, we ask that you refrain from bringing knives into the Garden; please cut any picnic items prior to your arrival. Strollers and wagons are permitted.
Please note that picnicking is only allowed on Picnic Nights and not during other Members’ Summer Evenings or public hours.
Can I bring a chair? What if I cannot sit on the ground?
Lawn chairs are prohibited, however, stadium chairs are allowed. There is accessible seating available for those in need.
