Join BBG’s curatorial team for a special tour of Ancestral Ecologies, a site-specific exhibition by artist Olalekan Jeyifous and environmental art and architecture practice AD‑WO, the inaugural fellows of BBG’s new Heidi Nitze Art × Environment Fellowship. Presented in conjunction with the 2026 Archtober festival and its “In our Hands” focus on community and optimism, this tour highlights the artworks’ connection to ancient forms of sustainable architecture and construction, cultural exchange, and climate resiliency. We will discuss the artists’ year-long process of researching and responding to distinct phenomena found in the Garden and its communities to create four multisensory installations that explore how Afrodiasporic and Latinx worldviews can inform contemporary ecological knowledge and stewardship. This is one of the last chances to experience this exhibition before it closes on October 25! Included with Garden admission. The tour departs promptly at 5 p.m., the first 50 attendees will receive listening devices.
