Celebrate spring and enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms at this program for visitors who are blind or have low vision. Explore tactile representations of cherry blossoms and BBG’s bloom calendar; engage with a variety of natural objects by touch, sound, smell, and taste; and experience the Garden on a guided verbal description tour. This drop-in program runs 2–5:30 p.m. and participants are welcome to join and leave whenever they’d like. Hourlong verbal description tours of the Fragrance Garden, Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, and Cherry Esplanade start at 3 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Registrants will receive the meeting location by email. This program is free and preregistration is required. Friends, family, sighted guides, and PCAs are welcome. Sighted volunteer guides are available to support visitors upon request. Please email [email protected] if you’d like to attend or you have additional access requests. Presented in partnership with the NYU Ability Project.
