Gardens For Peace pattern

Gardens for Peace Pattern

This pattern was designed by Toshiko Tanaka, an A-bomb survivor and advocate for world peace.

The design consists of three parts that together represent the word heiwa, which means peace in Japanese:

He (the first arch)
I (parentheses)
Wa (circle)
