Mizue Sawano: Images of Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Saturday, March 26–Sunday June 12, 2016
Conservatory Gallery

Mizue Sawano’s paintings burst with color and activity. An internationally renowned artist and regular visitor to Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Sawano draws inspiration from the Garden’s cherry trees and water-lilies. This exhibition focuses on her paintings of the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden—a fitting tribute to the garden, which celebrates its centennial this year.
