Outdoor Bonsai Display

A rotating selection of bonsai will be showcased outdoors on Magnolia Plaza as part of the expanded display for Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Bonsai 100 anniversary celebration this summer.

These trees will stay outdoors in all weather conditions. In fact, traditional bonsai from forest trees live outdoors. The indoor museum at Brooklyn Botanic is an exception, where potted trees can be given daily care in conditions that mimic the seasonal climate.

Bonsai Collection Centennial

Brooklyn Botanic Garden is celebrating 100 years of its incredible Bonsai Collection with an expanded display of bonsai specimens along with new interpretive signage plus special tours, exhibits, and workshops. Celebrate a century of tiny trees with us!
