New Garden Entrances

Along with the Visitor Center’s entryway into the Garden, BBG’s renovated public entrances on Flatbush Avenue and Eastern Parkway help the Garden fully engage surrounding neighborhoods and beautify the streetscape. Along with aesthetic improvements, these new facilities offer better amenities for all visitors.

    Washington Avenue

The new Visitor Center at Washington Avenue not only welcomes BBG visitors but also creates an eco-friendly streetscape. Two rain gardens and new street trees provide additional green space for visitors and passersby alike, contributing to the ongoing revitalization of the surrounding neighborhoods.

    Flatbush Avenue

The new Flatbush Avenue entrance strengthens the Garden’s "front door" presence on Flatbush Avenue while preserving the experience of entering through the historic original gate. An early-spring-blooming garden guides visitors to a new ticket booth, restrooms, and other improvements at the southern end of the Garden.

    Eastern Parkway

An inviting new entrance at Eastern Parkway reconfigured the area, improved the entrance’s visibility, pulled the gates back, and provided new gates that serve as a signpost for the Garden. A larger plaza welcomes visitors, and new ticket booths improved visitor flow.
