Lightscape - Light Like Water

Light Like Water

Created by Masha Tsimring
Plant Family Collection

The pyramid framework of this contemporary take on a holiday tree puts on a disco show in the Garden! Adorned with dichroic tiles and mirror balls, the tree gathers and scatters light across an open area south of the Plant Family Collection.

Masha Tsimring is an NYC-based artist interested in the layering of analog and digital technologies, specifically around light and video/photo media as they relate to memory, abstraction, and the textures of our natural environs.
