Lightscape - The Ghosts

The Ghosts

Created by Studio Vertigo
Bluebell Wood

The crane is a mystical creature in Japanese culture, a symbol of hope and healing. A faithful representation of origami cranes, The Ghosts are built from folded recycled polypropylene. LEDs illuminate the entire body of the cranes from within, acting as glowing lanterns.

Studio Vertigo is a collaboration between Lucy McDonnell and Stephen Newby, who work internationally to create light installations and sculpture.
