Enjoy a special tour of the Visitor Center as part of Archtober 2019.
Opened in 2012, the Diane H. and Joseph S. Steinberg Visitor Center seamlessly melds architecture and landscape. Designed by WEISS/MANFREDI Architecture/Landscape/Urbanism, the Visitor Center has earned LEED Gold certification, and has won over 20 major design awards. Tour guests will learn about the Visitor Center’s energy-efficient design, including earth-sheltered construction, a geoexchange system for heating and cooling, a living roof, and fritted-glass walls.
Tour-goers will also get a preview look at the Robert W. Wilson Overlook, also designed by Weiss/Manfredi, and opening in November 2019.
