Lightscape - A Magical Season

A Magical Season

Created by Christopher Wren
Central Lawn

This expansive light show spills across the central lawn of the Plant Family Collection. The 6-minute sequence, programmed to energetic original music, is created by light in interplay with a ring of 15 moving mirrors. Patterns of light are reflected in various circular arrangements based on Celtic knot patterns.

Its Chicago-based creator, Christopher Wren, designs light experiences for dance, theater, concerts, and corporate productions in addition to his work with interactive light art installations.
